Dozens of devices resembling pagers used by Hezbollah militants to communicate have exploded. According to local media, the incidents were reported both in the southern suburbs of Beirut and in the southern regions of the country.
Eyewitnesses posted images on social media showing people injured in the blasts, some of them bleeding to death in the streets. A source close to Hezbollah said the organisation links the explosions to the activities of Israeli intelligence services.
According to Hezbollah, Israel managed to infiltrate the terrorist structure and plant explosive devices in the pagers of the group’s members. The Jewish state did not comment on the allegations.
