Russia has reduced imports of Kazakh oil products. This is reported by the National Statistics Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

According to published data, during nine months of 2024 Russia exported fuel from Kazakhstan worth $46.2 million, becoming the fourth largest importer of Kazakh fuels and lubricants.

More than other countries during this period, Kazakh oil products were purchased by the Netherlands ($355.4 million), Turkey ($103.6 million) and Kyrgyzstan ($49.2 million). After Russia comes Uzbekistan ($43.3 million).

Russian importers halved oil purchases in Kazakhstan, to $5.8 million. Gas purchases also decreased by 2.5 times, to $57.3 million, and gas condensate – by 1.9 times, to $5.8 million.

Meanwhile, as noted, fuel oil imports doubled to $775,000, and diesel fuel imports to $3.9 million.

At the same time, gas supplies from Russia to Kazakhstan in the period from January to August of this year doubled to $353.4 million, 2.1 times more than in the same period of 2023. Thus, the volume of Russian gas supply to Kazakhstan has reached its highest values ​​in the entire history of trade relations between the countries.

Other fuels are experiencing a decrease in supply. In particular, in January-August, imports of oil products from Russia to Kazakhstan decreased by 2.5 times compared to the same period of the previous year, to $191.5 million. The volume of motor gasoline supplies in January-August 2024 amounted to 587 thousand dollars. diesel fuel – $9 million
