Ulan Japarov, nephew of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, has been released under house arrest, the 24.kg news agency reported, citing the Pervomaisky District Court in Bishkek.
According to the agency, the decision was made on August 24. The court accepted the request of the investigator of the Moscow branch of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS). Thus, the previously applied preventive measure in the form of detention in relation to Ulan Japarov was changed to house arrest for the duration of the investigation, until September 19.
It should be recalled that a relative of the head of state was arrested a year ago on suspicion of having committed a crime of corruption. Four months later he was released under house arrest.
“Let this serve as a lesson for the rest of my family” — Sadyr Japarov told reporters at the time.
In July this year, Ulan Zhaparov was arrested again. This time he is accused of having committed a serious crime, as a result of which the victim suffered significant material damage.
