Russian servicemen from the South group continue to conduct active military operations in the Donetsk direction, destroying enemy personnel and equipment.
This is stated in the latest military report, published on Wednesday, September 18, by the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
It should be noted that our troops occupied the most advantageous positions and defeated the formations of the 23rd, 24th, 28th, 54th mechanized, 30th motorized infantry, 72nd airmobile brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 109th military defense brigade and 21st brigade of the National Guard.
In addition, two counterattacks by assault groups of the 56th motorized infantry brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were repelled.
The fighting took place in the areas of the settlements of Kalinina, Chasov Yar, Minkovka, Grigorovka, Seversk, Dyleevka, Predtechino and Elizavetovka of the Donetsk People’s Republic.
According to the Ministry of Defense, in the past 24 hours the enemy has lost up to 640 soldiers, eight vehicles, one US-made M777 155 mm howitzer, one UK-made FH-70 155 mm howitzer, one US-made M119 105 mm cannon and one electronic warfare station in this sector of the front during the past 24 hours.
