Milli Majlis member Vugar Bayramov asked for clarification why the amount of the minimum pension should remain at 280 manats.

According to “Unikal”, At today’s meeting of the Milli Majlis Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurship Committee, during the budget discussion, deputy Vugar Bayramov stated that there is an instruction to increase the minimum pension and minimum wage:

“According to this, the proposals were prepared by the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population. My question is whether the President Ilham Aliyev There are instructions at this address. If there are indications, to what extent is the reference to the socio-economic development strategy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the period 2022-2026 correct in the report and opinion? If this is referred to, it is necessary to mention that there was an instruction from the Head of State, so that it does not give rise to different approaches in today’s press.”

It should be noted that according to the opinion of the Accounts Chamber, next year the minimum pension in Azerbaijan will be 280 manats. In other words, according to forecasts for 2025, the ratio between the amount of the minimum pension and the minimum wage (400 manats) will be 70 percent.
