One person has died and another has been seriously injured in a plane crash that occurred after it crashed in the town of Abia de las Torres in Palencia (PalenciaThe plane took off from Burgos airport after 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday.
It was Burgos airport itself and the Air Force’s air search and rescue service that transmitted the information to the Operating room of the 112 of Castilla y Leónstating that a training plane had disappeared in the vicinity of Osorno (Palencia) and on the border with the province of Burgos.
The last clue we had of the plane was around the kilometer 106 of the A-231 motorwayThe notice was sent to the Civil Guard of Palencia and Burgos, to the firefighters of the Provincial Council of Palencia and to the emergency coordination center of Sacyl.
It was this last service that activated a basic survival ambulance. In addition, the coordination center also mobilized the rescue helicopter of the Junta de Castilla y León in the area, while the Aviation contributed one of its helicopters to the search.
After several minutes of searching, the Junta’s rescue helicopter located the plane on farmland next to the Valdavia River, about 600 meters north of Abia de las Torres.
The two occupants of the plane were also present, one of whom was dead and the other in serious condition. Subsequently, the medical helicopter and primary care personnel from the Osorno Health Center were activated.
The causes of the accident and the affiliation of the victims are currently unknown.
