It is important to know exactly what happened yesterday in Lebanon – Blinken

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken stressed the importance of knowing the details of the events that took place yesterday in Lebanon. According to him, it is necessary to determine exactly what happened and the US authorities continue to actively work in this direction. He said: “It is important to know exactly what happened yesterday in Lebanon and we continue to work hard to find out.”

This was reported by the Alexey Zheleznov Telegram channel.

Meanwhile, the Lebanese news channel Almiadin, associated with Shiite structures, published information citing sources from the Lebanese security services.

According to these data, the explosion of the pagers was caused by explosives pre-installed in the device during its production. The explosives could not be detected by any standard testing methods, including checks at airports. It is reported that the cause of the explosion was not related to the lithium battery, as previously suspected. The explosion was triggered after the device received a special technological message that “awakened” the explosives. Interestingly, the pagers that were out of range or turned off did not work.

Four seconds after receiving a message beep, regardless of whether it was read or not, the device exploded. The source also claims that the Israeli intelligence services Mossad and the AMAN military intelligence may be behind this operation.

In addition, Saudi newspaper Al-Haddat reported deaths among members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). According to its unconfirmed reports, as a result of pager explosions in the Syrian province of Deir ez-Zor, 19 IRGC militants were killed and 150 others were injured. However, this information has not yet been confirmed by other sources.

Earlier, Kursor reported on Hungary’s possible involvement in the bombing of Hezbollah pagers.

After Taiwanese company Gold Apollo announced that it is no longer a pager manufacturer, all eyes are now on the Budapest-based company.
