The UN General Assembly adopted a resolution on Israel

The UN General Assembly has voted in favour of a draft resolution demanding that Israel comply with the ruling of the International Court of Justice and leave occupied Palestinian lands within one year.

Oku.Az TASS reports that 124 countries, including Russia, Belgium, Brazil, Qatar, China and France, supported the resolution, while 14 countries, including Hungary, Israel, the United States and the Czech Republic, opposed it. Another 43 countries abstained from voting.

Israel responded to the new resolution with a statement from its Foreign Ministry.

“Israel rejects the distorted decision of the UN General Assembly and thanks the world’s leading countries for not joining the parade of idiots in New York today,” the statement said.
