A tiger mosquito, which carries several deadly diseases, has been discovered in the Limansky district of the Odessa region, the Dillfrash telegram channel reported.
It is reported that the bite of the tiger mosquito poses a threat of dengue fever, chikungunya, Zika and West Nile viruses. Previously, this species was not found in Ukraine; it lives mainly in the subtropical regions of Southeast Asia.
“More than 17 cases of infection have already been recorded in the country, four of which have been fatal. Symptoms of infection: chills and rapid rise in temperature.” – writes TK.
