Two people were killed and another seriously injured after a series of knife attacks in Manhattan. ABC News reported this in reference to the NYPD.
According to law enforcement, the suspect chose the victims at random. First, he attacked a 36-year-old man near a construction site early in the morning, then, a couple of hours later, he stabbed a 68-year-old man and stabbed a 36-year-old woman several times. The latter is in critical condition.
Police said the suspect was taken into custody. This is the ninth time he has been arrested and he is believed to have serious mental health problems, authorities said. An investigation is underway, during which two bloody knives were found.
