A spectacular road accident defeated this Monday afternoon, the Navarre emergency services. The incident consisted of spontaneous fire of a truck articulated that straw transported.
The events occurred in the Ebro motorway (A-68)around 3 p.m. More precisely, at kilometer 100.3, the municipal territory of Fontelles.
After receiving the notice, the SOS Navarre room mobilized the firefighters of Tudela and Peralta, agents of the Provincial Police and the troops of Civil Guard.
When they arrived at the place of sinisteremergency services found that the driver of the articulated truck was safe and soundsince he had managed to get out of the burning vehicle alone.
The highway had to be cut at the point of the accident (north direction). This caused major traffic jams in the region. However, a detour has been made to ease traffic congestion.
