Taiwanese security authorities are investigating the explosion of pagers in Lebanon that are associated with local company Gold Apollo, the head of the island’s Defense Ministry, Gu Lixiong, told reporters.
Earlier, Reuters, citing sources, reported that Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency planted a small amount of explosives in 5,000 Taiwanese-made pagers ordered by Hezbollah from the Gold Apollo company. In turn, the Taiwanese company said the exploded pager model was produced and developed by Budapest-based BAC CONSULTING KFT.
