People’s Artist of the USSR, holder of the Order of the Republic of Moldova, heroine and national legend of Ukraine Sofia Rotaru decided to sell a three-room apartment in Moscow, which was allocated to the singer “almost for nothing” . This is reported by Gaceta Express.
The announcement of the sale of an apartment on Zoologicheskaya Street was noticed by the artist’s fans on one of the real estate portals.
«This is an unusually spacious and at the same time cozy apartment with a very bright energy. Primary documents of the basis of the right (the apartment has belonged to a family since the construction of the house). Rooms 30+19+16. Kitchen-dining room 16 meters. Huge loggia. The apartment is also unique because it belongs to a very famous artist. Quick access to an offer. An adult owner. Nobody is registered. Keys in hand. Show at any convenient time” – says the ad.
It is also noted that the property is located in “the very heart of Moscow, in the historic center.”
They initially asked for 70 million rubles for the apartment, but later reduced the price to 65 million rubles. So far, since October 24, there have been no people willing to buy an elite apartment from the famous artist.
Concert director of the singer. Olga Konyakhina confirmed that the apartment really belongs to Rotaru.
“According to conversations, the then mayor of Moscow helped Rotaru acquire it. Yuri Luzhkov. At some event, he struck up a conversation with her and found out that when she came to Moscow, she stayed in a hotel. “How is that? Such a person doesn’t have his own house?” Yuri Mikhailovich was surprised. And he ordered that he be assigned this apartment on very favorable terms, almost in exchange for nothing. – she said.
Konyakhina noted that she is not surprised that this apartment is being sold, since Rotaru herself is unlikely to come here and the property has been empty for several years.
“Another question is: who will buy it? Not everyone will like this type of footprint in an apartment. This person must love Sofia Mikhailovna very much to be proud to live in her apartment. But I am afraid that among the rich who can afford it there are none,” Konyakhina concluded.
As reported EADailyFor a few months now, Rotaru has been trying to get rid of the Villa Sofia boutique hotel in Yalta. They initially asked for 2.2 billion rubles for the luxury hotel. Rotaru rented the villa in 1991 for 20 years and in 2005 managed to transfer it to the property. Since 2020, the facility has been closed for renovations.
It was planned to nationalize the hotel and dedicate it to the needs of the Wedding Palace. It was reported that the proceeds from the sale of the villa would go to the needs of the fighters of a special military operation, but the Crimean senator Sergei Tsekov suggested establishing a registry office there.
The public organization “Veterans of Russia” sent an appeal to the Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov with a request to obtain through the court the seizure of the mansion in order to create a hospital and sanatorium in it for the combatants of a special military operation.
