At a time when the brotherhoods of Holy Week in Cordoba They are looking for new designs, especially in awnings which are starting to become a reality. Javier Sánchez de los Reyes is one of the big names from elsewhere.
This Sevillian joins the list of local artists such as Rafael de Rueda (in the Holy Face, the Garden and the Sentence) and Julio Ferreira (Health, in the Agony; the Virgin of Love, in the Passion; and the pallium in the Hope of the Valley, of the Holy Supper) who were already working in the capital.
And he also joins another very active name, that of Curro Claros de Malaga (who worked for Vera-Cruz, artistic advisor of Quinta Angustia and the one chosen to develop the new scenario of La Paz) and that of Gonzalo Navarro Ambrojowho signs the pallium of the Virgin of Hope.
Sánchez de los Reyes is not exactly a newcomer, having built a quarter-century professional career in various goldsmithing, sculpture and embroidery workshops where he learned artisanal processes first-hand.
Currently it is very present in brotherhoods in the design of all types of goods and in the recovery of the design of historical pieces.

And a few years ago he participated in the reconstruction of the conception and design of the tunic of the Flowers or the Devotees, of the Lord of the Great Power and in 2006 he created the altarpiece of the Basilica of the Cachorro.
Beyond his native country, he worked for the Rocío de Huelva brotherhood and for many other societies in Andalusia and the rest of Spain.
