The businessman Victor de Aldamaconsidered as the commission agent/intermediary of the Koldo affairasked the judge investigating this case, Ismael Moreno, to testify voluntarily.
The magistrate responded to his request and summoned the businessman — currently in prison for another trial — for November 21, at ten o’clock in the morning.
EL ESPAÑOL learned that Aldama’s lawyer had contacted the anti-corruption prosecutor’s office to offer to “collaborate”. This newspaper had access to a letter in which his lawyer states that the businessman intends to “make a voluntary declaration, answer any questions that may be asked by the magistrate, the prosecutor and the defense.
The prosecution made this decision cautiously, as it is common for investigators in pretrial detention to be willing to reveal the behavior of other defendants, but nevertheless shirk their own responsibilities.
Legal sources indicate that if it does not provide corroborating evidence of what this statement may reveal, it would be insufficient.
