“I ask you to be brave, you are not a criminal and you are condemned to sanchismo”

The deputies of the Madrid Assembly resumed their ordinary activities this Thursday, after the long summer break and the debate on the state of the region last week. And they began with a new confrontation between Isabel Díaz Ayuso and Juan Lobato, who accused the Madrid president of being “obsessed” with Sánchez. Ayuso advised him to be brave, because “he is not a criminal and he is convicted of sanchismo.”

In this political journey, the socialist spokesman is and will continue to be one of the undisputed protagonists, due to the internal debate that has opened in the PSOE about his leadership and continuity at the head of the Madrid socialists. To begin with, Lobato’s PSOE will defend today his letter of opposition to the commission of inquiry into the alleged favors of the Complutense University to the wife of the President of the Government, Begoña Gómez.

In the fight between Ayuso and Lobato during the first control session of the new course, the socialist spokesman questioned the president about her financing model and denounced that her model consists of reducing taxes for billionaires and not being able to raise 300 euros from public education teachers.

Ayuso regretted Lobato’s speech and stressed that what he is asking for is that Spain and the common fund are not broken. He accused Lobato of “demagogy” and recalled that of the 50 billion that the Community of Madrid collects for the work of the people of Madrid, only 17 billion remain here and the rest is used to pay the public treasury. Money that then goes to “those who literally hate Spain.”

Ayuso gave Lobato some advice: “There will be a position for you, don’t worry, but I ask you to be brave.” “You are not a criminal and you are convicted of sanchismo.” That is why he asked for courage like that of other socialists like Lambán or Leguina, “who have risen to the occasion at this time.” “These people can say: yes, but he fought for Spain and for Madrid.”

In the same monitoring session, Más Madrid spokesperson Manuela Bergerot questioned Ayuso about its measures against gender-based violence and again criticized it for trying to create a shelter for male victims of sexual violence.
