He Madrid City Council to appeal decision of Madrid High Court of Justice (TSJM) that annulled the low-emission zones of the capital before the Supreme Court. This was announced by the delegate for Urban Planning, Environment and Mobility, Borja Carabante, at the press conference that followed the Government Meeting, during which he announced that the legal services of the City Hall have already studied the judgment and have considered that this appeal is possible.
Carabante said this week that the ZBEs annulled in the judgment are still in force because they are not yet final, Fines imposed will not be cancelled based on case law and the Municipal Council is studying a possible appeal.
The High Court of Justice of Madrid has annulled the ZBA of the capital considering, among other things, that there is a “Patent Insufficiency of the Economic Impact Report” in the measures adopted in the municipal ordinance.
