French authorities have told the Russian side that Telegram founder Pavel Durov, who received French citizenship a few years ago, is not interested in relations with Moscow.
Oku.AzThis was stated by the Russian ambassador to France, Alexei Meshkov, in an interview with the TV channel “Russia-24”.
“The French treat the Durov issue as the relations of the French state with its citizens. Therefore, despite our repeated requests to provide relevant materials, we received a refusal. At the same time, it was said that Durov was not interested in relations with us,” the diplomat said.
It should be recalled that Durov was detained at Le Bourget airport on August 24. Maria Zakharova, an official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, said that Russian diplomats in Paris have taken all necessary measures in the case of Durov’s detention.
