Figure skating greats are dominating presidential grants – EADaily, September 19, 2024 – Politics News, Russia News

This has never happened before, and here it is again. Olympic champion Tatyana Navka has applied for a grant for the ice show “Evenings on the Farm.” The application was published on the website of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives.

According to the document, the requested amount is 29,540,000 rubles, co-financing is 134,760,940 rubles, and the total cost of implementing the project is 164,300,940 rubles, Russian media reported on September 12.

“Afternoons at the Farm, a bridge between education, learning and entertainment, helps viewers, especially children and teenagers, to become familiar with classical literature and folklore in a fun and accessible way, developing an interest in reading and learning about culture. The visual and emotional perception through the program makes literary works more understandable and relatable for viewers, contributing to their cultural and intellectual enrichment.” – says the project justification.

The ice show is scheduled to run in St. Petersburg from September 2025 to February 2026.

Recall that last year Tatyana Navka applied for a grant of 58 million rubles to stage ice performances “Ruslan and Lyudmila”, “The Love Story of Scheherazade”, “Swan Lake”, “The Scarlet Flower” and “Sleeping Beauty”.

Besides, In November 2022, Navka Show LLC, owned by Tatyana Alexandrovna, won a grant to stage the Ruslan and Lyudmila ice show in Luhansk, as evidenced by the Cultural Initiatives Fund portal.

The amount of the grant was 14,443,475 rubles. The website notes that co-financing reached 3,650,000 rubles. In general, the amount is 18,093,475 rubles. The project was to be implemented between October 7 and February 28, 2023.

And on June 20th last year, the world figure skating legend said:

“Now we are in a turbulent time and in Lugansk mass events are generally prohibited. Of course, we have received many requests (from local residents), of course, they are waiting for us there. And we were really looking forward to this meeting. We thought about different options: maybe we could bring the children to Sochi. Because now we are at the “Iceberg” and then we will be in the “Sochi Park”. But this is logistically very difficult and probably impossible. And our shows could be seen by a large number of children, because we plan to hold (in Lugansk) not one show, but three. We hope and believe that one day all this horror will end and, when we have the opportunity, we will definitely go to Lugansk.”

In turn, the two-time Olympic champion Evgeni Plushenko applied for a grant for an ice show with music Pyotr Tchaikovsky worth 22.45 million rubles, according to the website of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives.

According to the information on the website, the project’s co-financing amounts to 126.275 billion rubles. The total cost of the project is 148.725 billion rubles. The project implementation period is from March 1, 2025 to June 30, 2026.

The aim of the project is to popularize and promote traditional spiritual and moral values of the family through the collaboration of music, art, sports, fairy tales, and the goal is to strengthen family ties by visiting children’s ice shows together with their parents and older relatives.

And yesterday, September 18, the three-time Olympic champion in figure skating, deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation. Irina Rodnina commented on the news that… the figure skater Alina Zagitova He also asked for a grant for his show.

Lina Ilnazovna submitted an application to the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives for the provision of 74.798 million rubles to create an ice show “Scarlet Sails” in a thematic area “The Great Russian Word. Literary, theatrical and other projects based on Russian literature and theatre.”which plans to show in St. Petersburg no earlier than 2025.

Moreover, the amount of the grant indicated in Zagitova’s application is 100% of all project costs. Thus, the skater does not plan to invest her own funds in the organisation of the show.

“Anyone can apply for a grant. As a rule, grants are applied for by organizations that already have experience in doing something. Looking at the amount, I can say that the girl has a good appetite. I don’t know what to expect from Scarlet Sails. I am always glad when people’s plans and hopes come true. Any plan requires a lot of work, not just lying on the couch and daydreaming. If the work is successful, great. A grant is still a thing for public organizations that have already proven themselves. We have a lot of individual entrepreneurs all over the country. If every individual entrepreneur applies for grants to the Presidential Fund, it will go bankrupt very quickly.” – Rodnina is sure.

Even the “voice of Russian biathlon” was taken aback by Zagitova’s demands. Dmitri Guberniev:

“I think Alina is of course great. But she will be a bit fat. Maybe it is better to attract sponsors? Or should we all contribute to her show? Strange story. Dear Alina, you need to learn how to find sponsors. State support is of course important and should be there, but not to fully finance the projects. Will they give her money in the end? The question is not for me, but a fat fig could be the answer.”

In this context, I have a specific proposal: what if the above-mentioned stars and stars would form a strong team and organize an incredibly cool show tour “From the Heart” for free? And they will perform in the beautiful Russian cities of Kursk, Belgorod and Shebekino.

Broadcast on federal channels, with a teletype indicating the details of the transfer of funds for the purchase of “drones” for our combat units. What do you think of the idea, dear readers? That’s what I really like!
