Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah said Thursday that he interpreted the attack on pagers and walkie-talkies in Lebanon as “a declaration of war” by Israel, which he accuses of being behind the explosions that killed more than 30 people between Tuesday and Wednesday, including Hezbollah terrorists. Nasrallah accused the Israelis of crossing “all red lines and restrictions.”
In addition, the leader of the terrorist organization considers that the explosions of the communication devices constitute “a terrorist act”, an “unprecedented” attack that has turned into a “massacre”, and recognizes that they constitute a serious blow to security. For this reason, he says, they have formed several commissions of inquiry to “examine different scenarios”.
With his televised speech, the leader of the Lebanese militia wants to unite his supporters around a common enemy, Israel. The terrorists of the militant Islamist organization based in Lebanon were overwhelmed by successive waves of explosions, described as a “coordinated attack” and attributed to the Mossad, the Israeli intelligence service.
