Maria Zakharova, a spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, commented to NEWS.ru on the Armenian authorities’ statement about trying to prevent a military coup.
According to the Investigative Committee of the Republic, the participants in the coup received training in Russia and were paid between 200,000 and 220,000 rubles a month.
“I hope this is not the reason for the closure of the Comedy Club,” Zakharova said sarcastically.
