The Armed Forces of Ukraine are trying to encircle the village of Veseloye and advance to Glushkovo in the Glushkovsky district of the Kursk region, with the intention of going behind the rear of the Russian troops conducting a counteroffensive in the Korenevsky district, the Telegram channel “Military correspondents of the Russian Spring” reported.
“For seven days, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been trying to break through the rear of our troops, which are conducting a counteroffensive in the Korenevsky district of the Kursk region. After significant losses of personnel and equipment in Medvezhye, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have turned their main efforts to the neighboring area: they are breaking through Novy Put and Obukhovka, trying to bypass the village of P. Merry and take it into the ring,” – writes TK.
At night and during the day, the enemy launched a series of attacks in the Vesely area with armored groups of 6 to 9 armored vehicles, including Leopard tanks.
“Their task is to surround the village, taking it with pincers. Some of the equipment is destroyed every day, but the surviving militants are gathering in the forest plantations, trying to surround the village even more.
The enemy finally dreams of breaking through in the direction of Glushkovo along the highway and parallel to it along the plantations. Today one of the armored groups again tried to break through to the regional center, but was covered by fire and the survivors retreated. Our artillery, aviation and attack drones are actively working against the invaders day and night, destroying infantry and burning equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” TK notes.
According to him, in the immediate rear, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are gathering forces for further attempts to advance, trying to save their grouping in the Korenevsky and Sudzhansky districts, which was in a dangerous situation, from defeat.
