David Ferrer titles and top rankings as a tennis player
The current Spanish coach retired from the tennis courts in 2019. However, with his game, his mastery and his example, he was one of the great references in the world of sport in the world. Ferrer has conquered throughout his career 27 titles on the ATP circuithighlighting the one achieved in 2012 on the courts of the Paris Masters 1,000, the only tournament of this caliber that it has in its showcases, and the three Davis Cups (2008, 2009 and 2011) with Spain. David Ferrer, after his retirement, also wanted to make his contribution to the development of tennis in Spain and created the Ferrer La Nucia Tennis Academylocated in the Camilo Cano Sports City, a complex of almost a million square meters dedicated to sport. In this case, the Academy has six clay courts and three hard courts. Since 2022, the tennis program has been led by Andrew Richardson, a coach who has achieved numerous successes, such as the US Open in 2021 under the direction of Daniil Medvedev.
