La Esquina de Oro, the administration of Balearic lotteries which sponsors one in Valencia devastated by DANA

Arantxa Bermejo He leaves his window at Administration number 6 in Palma for a few moments to take care of OKDIARIO. She is an employee of The golden corneran emblematic place in the capital of the Balearic Islands, where luck is distributed every day to the hundreds of customers who come day after day looking for a winning number. And even more on such important dates, at the gates of the Prix du Christmas Lottery. Located on Avenida Alexandre Rosselló, it keeps the most curious and bizarre anecdotes with users of all kinds. In addition, this year it sponsors another administration of the Valencian Community, specifically the number 2 of the city of Benetusserwhich was destroyed after the passage of DANA.

Arantxa recounts the gesture that the administration of Palma had with those most affected: “We are going to carry out charitable work and sponsor an administration of Valencia. This is the number 2 of Benetússer. These people unfortunately found themselves with theadministration destroyedas well as his house and all his possessions. We decided buy them in the lottery and we will voluntarily ask our customers for a small donation. Additionally, we will have the number 43,292 and 74,334. “In case people want to cheer up and help a little, we’re having a party.”

Anecdotes of all kinds

Arantxa takes his time to recall the anecdotes of all kinds that he has experienced directly, from both sides of the window: “We have a lot of anecdotes. We have a client whohe doesn’t like people wishing him good luck. We have already booked it. When he comes we no longer wish him good luck because he’s not doing well, he doesn’t like it. “He thinks it brings him bad luck.” This is how Arantxa describes the curious form that this client takes in this case, for whom the word luck commands a certain respect when naming him.

There are many other cases, such as that of certain customers called “Rocío Jurado and Carmen Sevillewho called the same day to ask for his number. Arantxa took the situation with humor: “We ended the lottery with a little flamenco,” he joked.

“We also have customers lining up to be last. “They can queue for an hour to be the last of the day before the drawing to buy a lottery number.”

“In all the windows we have amulets. There are many people who like us to spend tenths through amulets. They even give us gifts so we can hang them in all our windows. Anything that can be done to bring good luck, here it is.

“These are the most intense months of the year, we don’t stop,” explains Arantxa, who adds that “at midday they give us some leeway, but then we have continuous queues . “Virtually 24 hours a day, seven days a week.”

Regarding the age of the customers who regularly contact the administration, Arantxa emphasizes that the profile of the people is of an advanced age but warns that: “young people are more and more encouraged to buy, this is noticeable in the ‘purchase”.
