A 6 year old boy was seriously injured Thursday afternoon after suffering a collision on the NA-4042 highway, in the municipality of Donamaria.
The SOS Navarra emergency management centre was informed of the incident at 5:18 p.m. Thursday and mobilized to the scene of the events a basic resuscitation ambulance, an advanced resuscitation ambulance (medicalized), a medical team from Doneztebe, a medicalized helicopter and patrols of the foral police.
The accident occurred when the child was hit by a car while riding his bicycle at kilometer point 0.5 of the NA-4042 highway, in the Donamaria municipality.
The injured person is a 6-year-old boy who suffers from multiple traumasincluding a traumatic brain injury (TBI), and was transferred by medical helicopter to the Pediatrics Department of the University Hospital of Navarra, in Pamplona, where he remained admitted with a serious prognosis.
