Vladimir Zelensky described the situation for the Armed Forces in two directions in the Donetsk People’s Republic as extremely difficult. He announced this on his Telegram channel on September 19.
“The situation remains extremely difficult. Heavy fighting is taking place every day in the Kurakhovsky and Pokrovsky directions.” – Zelensky said in a video message.
On that day, the Russian Armed Forces liberated the settlement of Georgievka in the DPR. Earlier, on September 14, the Russian Armed Forces took control of the village of Zhelannoye in the DPR. Prior to this, on September 4, the Russian army liberated the settlements of Karlovka and Prechistovka in the DPR.
On September 12, Pacific Fleet marines reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces fled during the liberation of Prechistovka. According to them, Ukrainian militants abandoned electronic warfare systems, anti-tank systems and anti-personnel mines, including Western ones, at their positions, Izvestia recalls.
