The appeal hearing against the sentence of Karim Karimli, accused of the murder committed 27 years ago, has ended at the Baku Court of Appeal.
According to information obtained by Pravda.az, the decision was announced in the trial presided over by Judge Zamin Ibrahimov.
According to the decision, the appeal was not upheld.
It should be noted that Karim Karimli was sentenced to 17 years in prison by a ruling by the Baku Serious Crimes Court.
It should be noted that, as a result of the measures taken by the Prosecutor’s Office, the internal affairs bodies and the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice, Karim Karimli was arrested and charged with the murder of Zoyakhanim Rzayeva, born in 1933, in her home. on January 24, 1997. It was determined that Karim Karimli deliberately killed Zoyakhanim Rzayeva with special cruelty due to a dispute between them.
Karim Karimli was charged with article 94, clause 6 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan in force until September 1, 2000 (intentional murder with special cruelty) and with article 178.2.4 of the Criminal Code currently in force (fraud by causing considerable damage ). damage). The final charge was announced and the criminal case was sent to the Baku Serious Crimes Court for consideration.
