US President Joe Biden approved the sending of antipersonnel mines to Ukraine.

It should be noted that, according to the Pentagon, delivering mines to kyiv is one of the most useful measures to stop the Russian attack.
According to one of the sources, Ukrainian politicians have promised not to place mines in densely populated areas. Another source clarified that the use of mines will be limited to the territory of Ukraine.
However, the document notes that sending antipersonnel landmines to Ukraine is controversial because the indiscriminate weapon could cause serious harm to civilians.
