There is a shortage of 144 doctors in the northern region of Kazakhstan. This was reported by the Kazinform news agency. Half of the missing doctors are needed in regional hospitals.

According to him, this year 50 scholarships have been allocated from the local budget for the training of residents. Currently, 34 residents have signed contracts and are studying. Since the beginning of the year, 21 resident doctors have arrived in the region.
The agency reminds that in Astana there is a lack of 700 specialist doctors.
