Sánchez and Begoña Gómez intensify their cultural agenda

Pedro Sanchez And Begoña Gomez This Thursday they visited the exhibition “Pedro del Hierro. From the master to the brand” at the Lázaro Galdiano Museum in Madrid. The President of the Government himself published on his social networks the video in which he is seen visiting the exhibition with his wife.

This is the second day in a row that the president has been recorded by a photo and video equipment in a cultural activity, in both cases accompanied by his wife. On Wednesday, they both went to the cinema to see The 47Marcel Barrena’s film. Sánchez also uploaded these images to social networks.

Until this week, the couple had only been seen together three times since it became known that she was under investigation for alleged corruption and influence peddling. The last time was during a visit to the Paris Olympics. Before that, at a PSOE rally in June, and on the day they went to the electoral college that same month to vote in the European elections.

Moncloa has not called on the media to follow this sudden intensification of the president’s cultural agenda. In both cases, both in the museum and in the cinema, security measures have been adopted to avoid any incident; in fact, no public is seen with Sánchez and Begoña Gómez in any of the facilities.

The billing of the videos is reminiscent of those of his scene from surprise departures last year, like the one he did a bookstore in Fuenlabrada coinciding with Book Day, or when he visited a group of retirees in Coslada to play petanqueafter attending the Davos summit. It was later discovered that the pensioners were PSOE activists.

That year, he also visited some young people from Parla who were receiving the minimum interprofessional wage, to have a coffee with them. This coincided with the approval of an increase in the SMI. As it was later learned, the brother of one of the young people worked in Moncloa.

On another occasion, he released a video playing basketball with players from the Villa Leganés wheelchair basketball section and the IMF Smart Education Getafe wheelchair basketball club.

The difference between these videos and those of today is that at that time the president was alone. Now he appears with Begoña Gómez. Last year, the intention was to show closeness to the people; At present, the campaign seeks to appear normal despite the difficulties the president is going through, both due to the lack of support in Parliament and due to the judicial investigations into his wife and brother.

This Thursday, after visiting the Lázaro Galdiano Museum, Sánchez stressed that Pedro del Hierro, who died in 2015, “was able to capture his experiences, his emotions and his rebellion in his work.” He also assured that the designer “continued the democratization of fashion” and achieved “what he always dreamed of: that the brand survives its creator.”

Likewise, on Wednesday, after leaving the cinema, he said he was “excited” and described the film as “a wonderful tribute to the plural and hard-working Spain that our fathers, mothers, grandfathers and grandmothers built.”

“Dignity is not something abstract. Dignity is the fight for water, the fight for electricity, the fight for the Post Office, the fight for public health and education. That is dignity,” he wrote on his X account.

The commitment to a Spanish film and a Spanish designer is interpreted as support for national culture.
