The Boundless Brotherhood-III exercise was held in the Turkestan region of southern Kazakhstan, the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan reports.
According to the department, during the active phase of the maneuvers, special forces units from six countries “destroyed” the gang. Fighters from Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Qatar, Pakistan, Turkey and Uzbekistan took part in the “destruction.”
The exercises were observed by representatives of the armed forces commands of the six states. Representatives of the armed forces of Jordan and Kyrgyzstan were also present as observers.
“The combined groups of military contingents from six countries were tasked with blocking and destroying an illegal armed formation that had crossed the border and taken refuge in a populated area. The militants’ attempt to defeat the joint group of troops using drones was thwarted by electronic warfare.” – the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Kazakhstan stated.
The combined group then launched an airborne tactical assault to capture the dominant heights. The offensive was supported by a kamikaze drone attack, army airstrikes and fire from mobile groups travelling on all-terrain vehicles. After the assault on the administrative building, the retreating enemy forces were “destroyed” in the tunnel by drones.
It is worth noting that an exhibition of weapons, military equipment and clothing samples was also held at the Horda training ground.
“In the face of increasing terrorist threats, we are joining forces in the field of military security. During the exercise, algorithms for action by the commanding bodies and subordinate units in crisis situations were developed. The joint operation demonstrated the readiness of military contingents to act in a coherent and effective manner.” – said the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Kazakhstan following the results of the exercises Ruslan Zhaksylykov.
In the ceremonial formation, based on the results of the exercises, in which more than four hundred soldiers participated, awards were given to distinguished military personnel.
