The Department of University, Research and Innovation of the Government of Andalusia has validated 41,684 sections of the regional supplements corresponding to 10,254 university teachers and researchers as part of the call for the evaluation of professional merits opened on September 17.
It is the first which was launched according to the new model approved by the Council, the rectors and the unions as part of the General negotiation table of Andalusian universities which improves the previous system and includes as the main novelty an annual periodicity in the recognition of this additional allowance, as reported by the Council in a note.
“These now ratified merits had already been recognized before, even if they only generated the right to their payment over a period of five yearsin accordance with the criteria then established in the applicable regulations.
The decision of the Council to validate this experience and these merits in the current evaluation process “allows them to acquire the condition of being consolidated and, therefore, of having a definitive character”.
To facilitate this work, the Ministry opened a procedure in which Teaching and Research Personnel (PDI) with recognized sections only had to provide a e-mail so that, automatically and without the need to carry out a new analysis, this score is ratified.
In addition to said validation carried out by the Agency for Scientific and University Quality of Andalusia (Accua), this same public entity is also immersed in the review of new merits presented by the university’s PDI, in the hope that it can be resolved in the coming days.
After excellence
Regional supplements constitute a kind of additional economic remuneration to the salary of this university staff, which is linked to the activity carried out in the field of teaching, R&D, transfer and exchange of knowledge and innovation , as well as in terms of management. With your gratitude “the goal is to achieve excellence in professional performance in each of these areas.
In addition, said remuneration “is distributed into sections and the maximum number that can be accredited is five, taking into account the different areas.” In this appeal, the department increased the amount to be paid, placing it at 1,800 euros per year for each of them.
Andalusian professors and researchers are promoted to nearly 18,400 people, that “the majority were able to benefit from this call”, since the regulation “expanded the figures of beneficiaries compared to the previous model”, allowing the incorporation of full-time temporary substitute professors, associates or researchers of excellence.
In general, the evaluation of supplements is aimed at IDPs linked to public universities, which, as a novelty “They do not have to prove seniority “any, a requirement that was previously required.”
It was also possible “to welcome professionals from public academic institutions outside the community who offer their services in the Andalusian system with a minimum continuous seniority of two years complete on the date of publication of the said call.
Campus
Of the 10,254 teachers and researchers who received notification of the 41,684 validated sections, 541 of them carry out their activity in the University of Almeria and have ratified 2,255 articles, 885 are on the staff of the University of Cadiz and have accumulated 3,417 sections, while 688 come from the University of Cordobawith a total of 2,765 sections.
For its part, at the University of Grenade 10,452 sections were registered for 2,482 professionals, at the University of Huelva There are 502 PDIs and 2,053 sections and the University of Jaen It identified 685 teachers and researchers and 2,876 sections and the University of Malaga, 1,334 people and 5,339 sections. Likewise, the Pablo de Olavide University obtained 522 PDI and 2,063 sections of merit, that of Seville2,614 people and 10,459 sections, and the UNIA, one person with five sections.
