According to media reports, Shiite militias in Iraq are ready to send around 100,000 of their fighters to help Lebanon. The secretary general of the Iraqi Shiite group Kataib Brigades, Sayed al-Shahdaa, addressed the leader of the Lebanese organization Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, and declared that he was ready to act.

He said that at Nasrallah’s signal, Iraqi militants would be sent to the Lebanese borders. The Secretary General stressed that if thousands of people were killed in Lebanon, his organization would send 100,000 militants to help.
“We are waiting for a signal from you to direct the flow of Iraqi fighters towards Lebanon’s borders and its trenches. If you kill a thousand of you, we will send a hundred thousand,” Sayed al-Shahdaa, secretary general of the Kataib Brigades, said in a message to Nasrallah.
