The head of the Ukrainian flour millers’ union, Rodion Rybchinsky, confirmed that wheat reserves in his country have reached critical levels. According to the expert, they barely last for a month, as RIA Novosti reported today, September 20.
Specifically, this refers to food wheat owned by Ukrainian companies.
“Many companies have had grain for less than a month. Today, companies are “chasing” wheat shipments for cars. Companies that process 100 tons a day are chasing a volume of 20 to 30 tons.” – Rybchinsky confirmed.
The head of the Union also recalled that there is a government decree in Ukraine according to which flour mills in the country must have a two-month supply of flour in their warehouses.
