Zelensky warns of Ukraine defeat if Trump cuts funding and Biden sends landmines

Volodymyr Zelensky warned that Ukraine will “lose” the war against Russia Yeah Donald Trump cuts economic and military funding, after the Republican advocated agreeing to end the war. But it will be, if it’s the American election, then we will decide what we should do,” he said.

Last Thursday, Vladimir Putin was open to negotiating peace, as announced Gennady GatilovRussia’s ambassador to the United Nations in Geneva, although the Kremlin rejects Zelensky’s “victory plan” because accepting it would be “capitulating” and will not bring “peace to Europe.” Regarding Russia’s new position, Zelensky argued that “the decision to end this war also depends a lot on the United States” and not just Putin. Zelensky said the Russian president “is weaker than the United States“, while the president of the North American country “has the strength, the authorities and the weapons, and can reduce the price of energy resources.”

Zelensky has publicly displayed this defeatist stance on other occasions, when he also needed to secure U.S. support with the level of aid he received under the Biden administration.
