On 17 and 18 September 2024, hundreds of pagers and walkie-talkies exploded in Lebanon, killing at least thirty-seven people and injuring nearly 3,000. An attack unprecedented in its scale and the damage it caused. CCTV footage and videos filmed by witnesses show explosions in supermarkets, injuries in the streets and scenes of panic around hospitals. The affected communication devices were used by members of Hezbollah.
