The 23.5-kilometer-long road was reported to be unusable due to prolonged use without repair and the influence of natural factors. For this reason, roads that need to be fundamentally reconstructed and restored have been improved according to the fourth technical grade. The width of the roads has been expanded to 10 meters.
In accordance with the requirements of the “Construction Standards and Rules” of the Azerbaijan State Highway Agency, earthworks along the road, excavation, widening and construction of the road base were carried out to obtain the normative width of the road. In accordance with the technological sequence, a new asphalt concrete cover was placed.
In parallel with the works, the construction of water pipes was carried out in the places necessary for the transfer of water along the road.
According to the project, 3 new automobile bridges, each with an overpass, were built on the Sirıg, Kechelekaran and Zangela road sections.
In the last stage of the project, the installation of traffic signs, the construction of road markings and road marking lines for the normal organization of traffic was carried out.
Construction works were carried out in accordance with the requirements of the “Construction Standards and Rules”, according to the schedule and with high quality, under the direct supervision of the management of the State Highway Agency of Azerbaijan.
In addition to creating a basis for the safe movement of citizens, reconstruction works will ensure comfortable travel on the road and facilitate the transportation of goods and passengers.
