Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko pardoned another 32 people convicted of extremist crimes. This was reported today, November 20, by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
It is reported that we are talking about 8 women and 24 men.
“They all admitted their guilt, regretted what they had done and asked for mercy. 17 people suffer from chronic diseases, one is disabled. 17 prisoners have children, two of them have many children. 9 pardoned are over 50 years old”, – says the message.
Let us remember that after the repression of the protests that broke out in 2020, the Belarusian authorities began to cleanse the republic of radical elements, which continues to this day. As a result, many followers of the pro-Western opposition and extremist movements ended up in prison. In recent months, several dozen of them have been released after being pardoned by the President of Belarus.
