Anger within the Castilian PSOE-La Mancha. The socialist mayor of Noblejas (Toledo), Agustin Jimenez Cresposent an inflammatory letter to the regional Minister of Agriculture, Julian Martinez Lizanafter visiting some businesses in the municipality without first notifying the councilor. “There is only one thing worse than looking like a redneck… and that is to behave like a redneck,” Jiménez Crespo wrote.
According to the mayor, this gesture was a leap forward protocol rigor and represents a contempt for the local institution he represents. He also claimed that the socialists surrounding government adviser Page constitute a “tribunal of salaried activists” responsible for responding to his letters.
“In front of someone reduction of activists’ salaries I have written a letter of response that I am addressing to you now, discussing the institutional nature or not of the visit, explain – please – if you can, what a councilor of the government of Castilla-La Mancha, member of a government that presupposes socialism, institutionally visiting Noblejas and not being able, at the very least, to inform the representative of the municipality, none other than a mayor who has supported the Socialist Party in this area for more than 40 years, creating wealth and prosperity not only for his people but for the entire region, in open contempt and without any protocol rigor”, denounces the mayor of the PSOE through the letter.
Not only that. Jiménez Crespo revealed that the Page government had never given aid to any company in the region but that it is now interested in some companies established in Noblejas, insinuating that they are “lack of merit“Is the Regional Government so short of merits and novelties in summer that it is necessary to come and take photos of the companies established in Noblejas to which the Government of Castile-La Mancha has given little or no help (the latter in the mouth of one of the representatives of the company itself)?”, he asks.
