Territorial troops will conduct exercises in the Brest region on the border with Poland, the Ministry of Defence announced today, September 20.
“From 23 to 25 September, a command and staff exercise will be held within the framework of the training camp with the servicemen of the territorial troops of the Kamenets district of the Brest region. It will be attended by those who are responsible for military service, called up from the reserves to their regular posts, representatives of the Kamenets district Department of Internal Affairs, as well as a militia detachment formed from volunteers from the area.” – says the message.
It is noted that “in the development of the entire range of tasks assigned to the territorial defence forces of the region, it is planned to pay primary attention to the protection and defence of life support facilities of the population; combating enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups; ensuring martial law measures, in which militia volunteers will directly participate, together with police officers.”
It should be noted that Belarus pays special attention to security on the republic’s western borders. Minsk believes that NATO countries are plotting to invade the republic.
