The mayor of Toledo, Carlos Velázquez, expressed this Wednesday his “deep dismay” at the victims of DANA in Castilla-La Mancha and in the Valencian Community in recent hours. Velázquez sent a message of condolences to the families of the deceased, “mainly in Valencia, but also here in Albacete and Cuenca, there are many people who cannot be located.”
The mayor had the opportunity to speak with the president of the Provincial Deputation of Valencia to offer him “not only our encouragement and condolences, but also to help him in everything we can do from the city of Toledo “.
The first mayor recalled that last year Toledo suffered from a “very virulent DANA, but, fortunately, we did not suffer any personal consequences and we did not have to deplore any loss of human life”, while emphasizing that yesterday, Tuesday, 53 people fell in the city, liters per square meter throughout the day, without suffering significant damage.
⚫️ I would like to express all my support and solidarity to the municipalities affected by DANA, especially in our region and in the Valencian Community, where the rains have caused irreparable losses and serious damage.
From #Toledo We join in a minute of silence in memory of…
