Iran’s statement: What were the pagers that exploded in Lebanon used for?

The pagers that exploded in Lebanon on September 17 were actually used by hospital and kindergarten workers to receive warnings about Israeli airstrikes.

Oku.AzAccording to TASS, this was announced by Iran’s ambassador to Beirut, Mojtaba Amani.

It should be noted that Amani himself was injured as a result of the explosion.

“Amani said that all these pagers were not used for political purposes, but by ordinary people. The pagers were distributed in hospitals, kindergartens and other institutions only to inform about possible attacks by Israel,” the government press service said.

The ambassador made this statement during a meeting with the official representative of the Iranian government, Fatima Mohajerani, who visited the diplomat in one of Tehran’s hospitals.
