The judicial investigation into the criminal case of Osman Omarov and Aflatun Aspendiyev, accused of murdering two people in Guba seven years ago, has concluded.
Oku.AzAccording to information from the Sumgayit Serious Crimes Court, Osman Omarov and Aflatun Aspendiyev were sentenced to life imprisonment and 18 years and 6 months in the last trial presided over by Hafiz Aliyev.
It should be noted that on July 7, 2017, on the VAZ-2106 vehicle burned under the bridge over Gudyalchay, on the territory of the village of Kupchalkislar, Guba region. Although a criminal case was initiated and an investigation was carried out under of the relevant article of the Penal Code, the process was suspended because it was not possible to identify the person or persons who committed the crime.
After the criminal case was re-examined by the Investigation Department of the Prosecutor General’s Office, on 04/25/2022, the suspended process was resumed and, with numerous investigative and operational measures, Osman Omarov, a resident of the Khachmaz district, was born. in 1994, he was imprisoned from July 6 to 7, 2017. On the night of July 2017, he met Ulviyya Mammadova and Rahman Isikhov on the territory of the village where he lives, and after beating and wounding Ulviyya Mammadova with a piercing tool during During the dispute between them, he injured Rahman Isikhov with the knife he was carrying in different parts of the latter’s body, and then committed the crime. Reasonable suspicions have been established that Ulviyya Mammadova and Rahman Isikhov burned the bodies of Ulviyya Mammadova and Rahman Isikhov. the bridge over Gudyalchay in the latter’s car to create the appearance of a traffic accident and lose track.
It should also be noted that the other defendant, Aflatun Aspendiyev, was accused of his joint participation with Osman Omarov in the murder of Ulviyya Mammadova.
On May 19, 2022, Osman Omarov and Aflatun Aspendiyev were found criminally liable as defendants under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code on the basis of reliable evidence collected.
