THE tourist melancholy It is a decomposition of moments and objects through which the idea of a paradise is fixed in the imagination. It was born from fieldwork in certain vacation spots from which vestiges were recovered that speak of the rise and fall of this mental fantasy. How many seconds does it take to create and lose a paradise?
THE tourist melancholy It is a gallery of mirages of what remains behind the intensity of a sublimated landscape which no longer exists or which has never existed, of a body which fades in time and which only resuscitates through memory residue. This is why it is a questioning of the life of the images which are produced in our idea of rest.
But the melancholy It is also a suspensive state of mind which accompanies the exception, an active force which leads us towards the desire to reinvent ourselves and to reinvent ourselves in these periods when an inertia of things fractures.
