He Larra-Belagua Nordic Ski Centermanaged by the public company NICDO, is preparing to inaugurate the winter season with the traditional exchange of sticks between shepherds and skierswhich will take place next Saturday, November 23 at 12 p.m. The Fairduring an event that will include live music and a tasting of gastronomy typical of the Roncal Valley.
Even if the slopes are not yet open, the winter atmosphere can already be felt in Larra-Belagua. The center has launched a full calendar of activities and events for lovers of ski and the mountain. According to Julen Garjonmanager of the center, “we are ready for the first snowfall” and are looking forward to the start of the season: “We know it will be a good winter.”
One of the main novelties of this season will be the celebration of several competitions of national category. Larra-Belagua will host very prestigious events, such as the 9th edition of Larra-Belagua Snowrunning which will take place on January 18 and, for the first time, Spanish Snow Racing Championshipwhich will attract the best runners in the country. More than 400 athletes will compete on this demanding snowy course in the heart of the Navarrese Pyrenees.
The calendar continues in February with the Navarrese and Basque cross-country ski championshipswhich will be held on February 15 and 16 and will culminate in March with the Spanish Cross-Country Skiing Championship from March 21 to 23. During this event, more than 250 athletes from different autonomous communities are expected. “We want people who visit us to be able to make the most of our facilities,” says Garjón.
For those who want to enjoy the slopes this winter, Larra-Belagua offers daily rates ranging from €6 for people over 65 years old, up to €11 for adults, and €7 for children under 13 years old. There are also combined rates including equipment rental, with prices of 23 for adults and €19 for children. Additionally, you can rent snowshoes (14€), sleds (10€) or ski skating (from €20). There are also subscriptions ranging from €100 for adults and €70 for minors.
This winter, Larra-Belagua offers a service free bus Since Pamplona at the ski center. This service, available every on Saturday of the season, will leave at 7:30 a.m. from the shopping center parking lot The Morea and will return to Pamplona at 7:00 p.m..
