Oku.Az informs that it is Gender Equality Day. Bahar Muradova, chairwoman of the State Committee for Family, Women and Children’s Problems, at the event on Gender in Transparency.
According to him, 48 percent of the healthy population of Azerbaijan works in agriculture, of which 49 percent are women and 51 percent are men:
“Supporting agricultural workers and implementing gender-sensitive measures, especially for women, is one of the national priorities. To support green agriculture in the country, a Joint Action Plan covering the years 2020-2023 has been implemented. This plan consists of multidimensional measures aimed at reducing negative environmental impacts. We reaffirm our commitment to making gender equality a key principle of climate finance. “Supporting these initiatives will allow us to make equality. an integral part of our climate change policy and together we will contribute to building a stronger and more inclusive society.
