On Wednesday, September 18, a second series of explosions involving communications equipment took place in Lebanon. At least twenty people were killed and 450 others were injured, according to the latest report released late in the afternoon by the Lebanese Ministry of Health.
The explosions occurred in particular in the southern suburbs of Beirut, in the Bekaa plain, in the district of Saïda (Sidon) and in the Baalbek region in the east of the country.
A day after an attack attributed to Israel that detonated thousands of pagers across the country, walkie-talkies belonging to Hezbollah members have been affected this time, according to several news agencies close to the Lebanese Shiite movement and security sources.
