At least two detonations took place and the suspect fled on a scooter
THE Mossos d’Esquadra They are investigating a shooting that occurred in the Sants-Montjuïc district of Barcelona this Thursday morning. So far there are no injuries. ‘ElCaso.cat’ put it forward and this was confirmed by the Catalan police, who explained that there was some sort of detonation with a suspected firearm on public roads.
The shooter opened fire on a third person, whom he was unable to reach, then left the scene on a scooter. Officers are now trying to locate him.
The police officers who initially blocked the street have already left, after going to the scene to try to determine if a previous fight had taken place, which would have sparked the shooting. An investigation is currently open to try to clarify the facts and locate the suspect.
The event occurred hours after Catalan police officers located the lifeless body of a scrap metal in Martorell (Barcelona). The victim, aged around 70, was located inside his home “with traces of violence”.
