“To say “all men” is to speak of systemic violence perpetrated by all men, because all men, without exception, benefit from a system that dominates women. And since we are all the problem, we can all be part of the solution.”continues.

“Let us stop considering women’s bodies as disposable bodies (…) ; Let’s stop navel-gazing, let’s reverse the burden of victimhood (…) ;Let’s stop thinking that there is a male nature that would justify our behavior; Let’s stop perpetuating boys’ clubs and protect our male counterparts.”list this “road map”.

Actor and director Gilles Lellouche, playwright Alexis Michalik, rapper Vin’s and carer and writer Martin Winckler are among the two hundred signatories, according to Release.

“We are going to have to stop asking women to do our work”

The column refers to the Mazan rape trial: a woman drugged by her husband, Dominique Pelicot, and raped for ten years by dozens of men of very diverse profiles. This high-profile trial saw the resurgence of the keyword #Notallmen (#Pastousles hommes) on social media.

With this expression, Internet users, mostly men, intend to denounce any generalisation, considering that this is above all an individual and not a systemic problem.

“Many say that the trial of the 51 rapists is actually a trial of masculinity. Many feel offended and consider it fashionable to be indignant because they are being put in the same basket instead of rebelling against the atrocities orchestrated by Dominique Pelicot and doubled down on by so many other men.Morgan N. Lucas laments in his text.

Without naming him, the activist also responded to comments by actor Vincent Lindon, who asked during an interview on France Inter in May: “a road map” to be a better feminist.
