The storm that shook the province of Seville this Tuesday caused the thunderbolt in the headquarters of the Communist Party in Valencina de la Concepciónwhich ended in flames after a strong explosion. No injuries were reported.
Lightning struck the roof of the building, located on the central Maquina street of the aforementioned municipality, very close to the Town Hall. THE bursting This was felt throughout the city, although fortunately the headquarters was closed and empty and only material damage was noted.
The property, a one-story house flanked by two semi-detached houses, is the municipal seat of Izquierda Unida, although the republican flag and on its facade there is a sign of Communist Partyas detailed ABCwhich moved the event forward.
According to City Hall sources, lightning struck around 12:00 p.m., directly hitting the facade and causing the electrical panel explosionwhich started the headquarters fire.
Three teams went to the site. Firefighterswho quickly extinguished the fire, in addition to members of the local police and the Civil Guard. They also approached the mayor of the city, Ramón Peña (PP)and several municipal elected officials, to directly supervise the actions.
On his social networks, the councilor sent “a big hug to the family of the United Left of Valencina de la Concepción. “The material always has a solution and from today I’m available of the Assembly of the United Left of Valencina de la Concepción so that everything returns to normal”, he concluded, also thanking the “rapid response” of the authorities and neighbors.
